Dynamic asset configuration

In the configuration of the types of assets inventoried, there are no limits. A dynamic asset card structure allows different types of assets to be represented and specific features to be inserted that can best represent the asset.

Data collection through integration with network discovery

Tesis Asset Manager, with enterprise network discovery software, e.g., OCS inventory™, Landesk™, aims not to replace such software but instead to assign asset discovery by constantly integrating and capturing the sensed data. Then, these data are entered within an articulated and structured database that allows assistance operators to carry out complete and proper management of the data.

Software license expiration tracking

Each licensed software asset is registered within Tesis Asset Manager specifying its duration and consequent expiration. As the license expiration date approaches, a report can be obtained in order to take action on whether or not to renew it.

Automatic detection of expiration of hardware warranties

Each hardware asset is registered within Tesis Asset Manager with an information on its durability and consequent warranty. As the expiry of the warranty period approaches, it is possible to obtain a report that allows the assessment of whether the equipment is covered by other assistance formulas or to suggest a possible replacement.

Automatic detection of expiry dates of asset services

Each asset registered withinTesis Asset Manager can be correlated with information from the service(s) covering it over time. As the expiration date of any service approaches, it is possible to obtain a report that allows one to consider whether to undertake renewal or take other action. Analyses of the maintenance or activities performed in relation to the services covering the asset are available to support the decision.

Asset positioning in company premises or sites

Through Tesis Asset Manager it is possible to place assets in particular locations or company’s sites. Thus, in addition to responsibility or ownership, it is also feasible to know where they are placed.

Asset Attachments

The asset card is enhanced by unstructured data that often consists of files of various kinds, such as PDFs, images, videos and so on. For analysis, configuration or maintenance, these files are contained within the asset card and are available whenever they are accessed.

Scheduled and periodic maintenance

Whenever the asset is subject to periodic maintenance, it is possible to define the periodicity and other parameters in the maintenance ticket in Tesis Service Desk.

Detailed construction or components of a particular asset

Every asset can be represented and described in terms of its components. For instance, it is possible to define a complex hardware configuration of a server or graphics workstation, indicating the main components contained within it.
